     @professionalbigot69 VTOL is barely a real capability in practical terms, we don't have many planes designed to do it and when they do, they're not carrying much payload. there's talk of dumb things like using ospreys as refueling platforms so F-35Bs can take off without much fuel and get refueled in the air, which may be possible, but is a fairly stupid thing to need to do
     
     the lack of suitable airfields in the eastern hemisphere is a real issue should we need to fight there for real

     @professionalbigot69 a time machine to go back 30 years and tell their predecessors history isn't over and we should stop pursuing trillion dollar weapons programs designed to fight people with 50+ year old technology
     
     they're developing stuff like crates of missiles to drop out of C-130s because it's too late to do anything else for a fight that might happen in the next couple years
