   My next experiment will be almond extract. 1 ounce of extract was nearly $4. 10 oz of raw almonds was $4.50.
   4oz of almonds = 4 oz of extract
   I'll let ya know it works out in a few weeks.

     @TinyHouse4Life I bought 50 lbs of almonds I'm still working through. Going to have to look into this one. Do you just soak them in grain alcohol or something?

     Vodka or ever clear. Needs to be at least 60 proof but I always go minimum of 80 proof. Blanch the almonds first and get the skins off. Then put them in a glass, sealed container, cover with the alcohol and let it sit for at least 6weeks. I might do these as Christians gifts if they turn out. I make vanilla extract like this and it's delicious. You can also do lemon, orange and mint the same way
