Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks (washedoutgundampilot@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 25-Aug-2023 23:06:04 JST Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks “Campbell paid $100,000 for it, and the plane was flown from Greece to Oregon to prepare it for him to take ownership. Once the aircraft was ready, it was towed to Campbell’s land through the streets of downtown Hillsboro. That process included removing the engines and other elements that make it so the plane can never fly again. It cost a total of $120,000.
“When you live in a structure like this, you feel a little more fulfilled with your life,” he says. “And if you’re an engineer, scientist, or anyone who appreciates the elegance and beauty of aerospace technology, it’s just a happier place to live.”
He spent around $15,000 and 2 years making the plane into a home Campbell added a makeshift shower, a temporary sink, a portable washing machine, a refrigerator, and a food service cart from another plane that serves as his pantry.
In place of a stove, Campbell has a microwave and a toaster oven, which he barely uses. “I’m a nerd. I don’t cook, so it’s a minimal kitchen area,” he says.
Next to the kitchen area, Campbell has his futon sofa, which doubles as his sleeping area and his workbench.
His monthly expenses are $370 a month, which includes $220 a month in property taxes and between $100 to $250 a month in electricity.”

TalmudTranslator (talmudtranslator@poa.st)'s status on Saturday, 26-Aug-2023 00:12:43 JST TalmudTranslator @WashedOutGundamPilot I always said I'm fine with living in a pod if it is secluded and has land. Instead it's always just a bug pod in a mega city or some gay tiny house next to 7000 other tint houses on basically a skid row in a mega city. For the price that dude paid to live in a 727 he could of had two connected two story frames though but to each their own I guess Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

I'm thinking of shipping containers, which can't handle much horizontal force and collapse when buried. Wondered if the light aluminum tube structure of a plane would fair better. Main concern is having some extra ground contact so it can have the heat sync effect. -

Without being airtight, the strength doesn’t quite work the way you’d want. That’s why they took out all the windows on newer jets, back in the 60’s a lot of them retained opening hinged windows so guys could get fresh air while preflighting powered down….turns out they’d crack them open in flight, too, caused increased fatigue on the air frame
