   I looked it up, released around 5 years after myst. Myst was the killer app for the mac and was the gateway drug that got boomers into gameing. In hindsight the genre was a flash in the pan but back then it must've seemed like a solid investment. Also the cd based system on the PS1 was ideal for it. Lots of room for streaming video and detailed images.

     My uncle had myst on his old windows 95(98?) Desktop. Played the heck out of that game
