     @mntmn I think it would make more sense to contribute to haiku. It lacks very little for me to be a daily driver, mostly whole disk encryption.

     @oook a desktop with icons and nice file manager (tracker) and nice and friendly icon and UI design, while still being minimal and unbloated. xfce is kind of this but with unfinished wayland support and much less stringent design principles

     @mntmn What do you need in the haiku gui that you don't have available on linux? Most of the appeal of beos/haiku gui are tabs support. There are a number of linux wm that support tabs:
     i3 (and I believe its wayland clone sway too), wmii, xmonad, fluxbox, windowmaker, and many others.
