   It's amazing how many people think Ukraine is somehow beating Russia. It takes Russia *years* to get into actual fighting shape, they literally have tens of thousands of tanks on ice, and an endless supply of cannon fodder.

     @Zerglingman corruption. It's the bane of all top-down dictatorships. Too many yes men lying to superiors, too much hidden graft. The whole (Ukraine) war may just be a forcing function to sort the machine out so it's ready for something Putin fears or is preparing to do.
