   Schools are by far the worst offenders, but the left needs the schools so they pretend this is a Catholic Priest problem. By the numbers, a Catholic church is way safer than a school, scouting, or per capita, a shit-ton of other churches.
   
   But none of the abuse is acceptable. None of it.

     Gay men and sex with underaged boys is a pretty common thing. Hard to avoid the association. Attracting them is one of the risks of restricting the priesthood to men who are not going to have a family with a women.

     @Leyonhjelm @rimugu I understand the concerns about priests otherwise being tied up with their families but the alternative in the current day and age seems worse.

     I have heard about a lot more girls being raped by those than boys. But the molestation problem is a problem in any organization where children are present, because those attract people who want to abuse their position in those organizations.
