@Giganova8 On one hand, it was client's order. On the other hand, she agreed to it. Haah... do I take the business angle or the moral angle? Honestly I have no idea.
Ultimately, I do not approve of going after the artist. :lain_sad:

>harassed for NSFW
Conveniently leaving out the small, but critical, detail that the "NSFW artwork" in question was a commission she took to draw NTR shit where the MC gets fucked by a bunch of fat randos. So not really justification for this, but definitely cuts into the amount of sympathy I'm feeling. :nacho_disgust:

@Giganova8 Yeah idk. I don't know if she had established herself as an NSFW-capable individual on the side, like a thing the "inside fans" know about. I do agree with you that she should have considered whether to take the comm or not since her name is tied to her business. It's unfortunate but association is something to take into consideration carefully.
It's like, if one day I wanted to do kid's stories/cartoons. I would have to take a pen name or make it clear that my past in NSFW works is behind me. Adopt a new identity or establish the association. Branding is a thing in business, after all... I think she totally shot her branding in the foot. It's like the idol biz where the girls have to stay as pure as possible; association and branding is important to the audience.

I mean, it would have been neatly solved by just, IDK, not taking a request that had such a high chance of pissing off the fans? I don't think she should have been harassed, but at the same time she's not really some poor innocent victim either. This isn't a case of "artist drew something problematic and got dogpiled by twitter freaks", it's more complicated than that. :akko_weary:
Honestly, why the hell was she offering NSFW commissions under the same name as the one she published manga under? Especially if she's gonna be honoring requests like that, shoulda just used a different account and at least had the plausible deniability of not being officially associated. :senko_sigh:

@Cayhr @Giganova8 @rlier23 it's definitely business suicide
If I was a fan of that anime, and liked the girl, I wouldn't support anything she does anymore.

I mean, I'm not saying they were right, I'm just saying I'm not about to leap to her defense like if this were the usual twitter-nigger dogpile. They shouldn't have harassed her off the platform entirely, but she shouldn't have done something that was obviously gonna piss people off. :yui_shrug:

@Giganova8 @Cayhr @rlier23 or people could just listen when the author says it's not canon take them at their word and treat it like it doesn't exist rather than sperg out and harass the author
-
@Giganova8 Yeah, in this case it is a situation that has no winner. It was just a very unfortunate situation.

@rlier23 I agree, I could not find the will to draw any NTR, precisely because I absolutely despise it. It doesn't make me feel good so I would (politely) decline NTR commissions.
Though, I would have established myself as wholesome and horny so hopefully none of those come my way. It helps to establish your territory.

@Cayhr @Giganova8 even with the moral angle i still find it disgusting.
