GubaguyI made a plan this month to try my damnedest to SAVE MONEY. I budgeted it out, my guesstimates on my paychecks were slightly off but that's fine... I mean it isn't, a quarter of both paychecks this month went to taxes, but here was my breakdown:
-$85 (rounded up $5) warhammer subscription, thankfully this ends at the end of this year.
-$25 Pantry visit (this accounts for about 50-75% of my food for the month)
-$110 phone (also my internet)
-$15 Netflix
-$15 Humble bundle (This bundled with netflix is my "entertainment" budget, which excludes FNM which I need to factor in going forward)
-$25-40 Power
-$100-150 paypal payment.
Assuming max numbers on all of those that is $440, and I got paid roughly $860 for the month (rounded up again). So... I haven't paid my phone bill, or netflix, or humble bundle, OR paypal... My bank account has $390 in it and I still need to pay all of those off. I STILL owe those. If I paid $150 to paypal plus everything else that would mean I would have $0 in my bank. This means I will have to make a minimum payment this month, I just can't make up $150 in a week.
So what happened? Well, I had to emergency buy a freezer which cost me $165 but even with that the total at max would have been $605, so WHAT HAPPENED? I am looking at my expenditures and I just... I can't figure it out. I can't figure out where I went wrong WHILE LOOKING AT MY BANK ACCOUNT.
I -THINK- whats happened is my stress eating is rearing it's ugly head again. I see at least $50 spent on junk food from the gas station over the last 2 weeks. So I guess that also makes a difference. But given that I still haven't paid for phone, paypal, humble, netflix... That $50 plus everything I did pay only comes out to $200, plus the freezer which makes it $365 add my bank account of $390 thats still only $755, theres still jsut... $100 I haven't been able to account for.
I am still scouring through my bank account history, wells fargo purposefully makes this shit as user un-friendly as possible, so it's nearly impossible to figure out what goes to where and one what date... like... a purchase made on Friday doesn't even get marked until the following Monday, and that isn't a weekend thing, a purchase made on Monday might not show up until Friday.
I would say maybe theres an edibles purchase in there, but I am 99% sure I didn't buy any with either paycheck from THIS month.
I guess this is why people keep check books.
While typing this I also dug a little more into it, I have my account set up to transfer a tiny percentage, minimum $1 of every purchase into my savings account (not that it saves for long) and I can account for another $10. I have to assume the remainder is possibly FNM stuff? But last week we did modern $10, and before that I think it was commander, which is free? So still lost... I'm rambling, I hate this.
My end point is that I owe another $290 to bills despite planning to have $300 saved by the end of the month.
I am a fucking mess and I hate it v.v
