   @Zerglingman besides Fediverse I hang out in Gikopoi and IRC a lot. people are always shocked that I use windows as my primary OS. for 95% of the things I do (surf web, watch video files, email, write, edit photos, SSH to server, use emacs) it really doesn't matter what OS I use, for 5% of the things (play video games) it really matters a lot.

     @goo But it *does* matter for all of those things. It matters that you can trust it to be behaving according to what you ask of it, not what some external party asks of it.

     @Zerglingman I don't care who knows that I am watching TenPuru episode 7 with two browser tabs open, gikopoi.com and dobbs.town, and no other applications running. Linux has no games so running Linux on my 16GB, i9 blah-blah-blah main machine is just wasting it
