In the name of overkill and having a router more powerful than I need I swapped out the Celeron J4125 cheap Chinese PC with a Beelink EQ12 Pro with an i3-n305 in it running opnsense now.
In my defense it was on sale.

And yeah Amazon delivered it at like 5am I got it set up before 7 before I even had coffee and breakfast!

@gray Yeah, might be an overkill, J4125 is plenty for gigabit PPPoE and NAT. I would've tried putting proxmox on it or something, and running opnsense in a VM to have some spare space for various other shit one might want to host from home.

@mint I thought about going the VM route but I just didn’t want to deal with it right now. Maybe in the future.
I was going to go with n100 version but this one was only $20 more so I just went with it.
