I've seen Fediverse instances that have only ONE user signed up for it get hugged to death whenever a high-profile Fediverse account—more than 10K followers—boosts their post.
I say, efforts to make Twitter-scale Fediverse software is a huge win in my book.
It should lower the cost of operating a Fediverse instance, especially for single-profile users.
