   I've seen Fediverse instances that have only ONE user signed up for it get hugged to death whenever a high-profile Fediverse account—more than 10K followers—boosts their post.

   I say, efforts to make Twitter-scale Fediverse software is a huge win in my book.

   It should lower the cost of operating a Fediverse instance, especially for single-profile users.

     @manlycoffee And those instances with one person on them would still get hugged to death (and wouldn’t be using this system anyway because it would be overkill).

     Also, if you’re going to include a screenshot of my post, which isn’t necessary as you’re linking to it and this isn’t Twitter, can you please also add alt text to it so people who use screen readers can read it too. Thanks.
