   @kybermace As long as you’re a good sport about it, have at it. I just tire of linux guys being just like the car guys who cannot wrap their heads around why anyone would want a prius. I’ve given them all a try by now, a good, honest, attempt and the most low maintenance and stable in my use has been mac. I don’t like it to be that way, but it is what it is.

   I know it’s all spying on me, but as an adult we’ve all got a few older computers that can run something privacy-oriented to put into that computer niche. I still don’t quite buy the idea that linux is a silver bullet at all, just because the system has never been so lax about things that it would just let a gigantic hole in its surveillance net stand forever.

   They probably don’t care about linux because they feel comfy holding our traffic and keeping backdoor access to every piece of hardware along our chain of comms.

     Cant really deny the charge, I really do get too much enjoyment from working on breaking down and fixing computers. Learning arcane stuff was the alternative to some other engineering discipline, possibly.

     Only rebuttal is that tired old line about tyranny and freedumbs. But they are coming for us all at the end of the day and I know damn well nothing I do will make any difference to my OPSEC/COMSEC/INFOSEC/LackOfSecs.

     Therefore pick your poison - mac which sorta works and spies on you, windows which kinda works and really spies on you and leenucks, which breaks on you then systemd spies on you (lol j/k but give it a hot minute and it will)
