     I honestly cannot imagine someone trusting a bot designed for ordinary chit chat (conversations) to think it would be suitable for code

     But then I see titles like this and think, wow

     For fun, just to see the outcome, I asked ChatGTP how I could best clean my Linux install. Something a Windows user would ask (but for Linux)

     ChatGTP told me to run: sudo rm -r -f /

     🤯🤣 (Please no one do that)

     If you trust ChatGTP to administer your computer or code anything, I feel sorry for you

     @nixCraft I've been code-testing it and it's right most of the time, but when it gets things wrong it's quite interesting to see the logic that goes into it. That said, I'm not excited by any of this because I know it's going to start being correct almost all the time before long (like self-driving cars), and when it does we're witnessing our future replacements. I hope I'm wrong about that.

     @nixCraft no surprise, but I would suspect that the "not clearly wrong" part would be mostly "superficially plausible, and that only to the not actually qualified in the field".
