     Same as tmux, just screens are preinstalled on the ubuntu server which I use most of the times. That's why I always that instead

     the one or two times I had to actually use it for serious multiplexing I wished I had the better interface and layouting of tmux, but otherwise I have it setup just right already so can't bother to move for that

     @pomstan @dcc @dushman @menherahair @0 @dragnucs @NotMtth Yeah, though you don't need to memorize anything than Ctrl+A→D with screen either. nohup won't work if the program you're running needs interactive input.

     @mint @dcc @dushman @menherahair @0 @dragnucs @NotMtth i used to abide by this reasoning but tmux’s ux is just better. and you don’t need to learn its full featureset, just memorize a couple of commands and keystrokes

     andi f you reallly need just a single command, nohup is a simpler choice
