It would have taken more than 1,100 people to overthrow America 😡

@Dianathy Next time, bring 100,000.
-
@Zerglingman @Dianathy
You could bring 1 million *unarmed* people
The solution is simple and doesn't require that many
-
@histoire @Dianathy But you've got to convince the glowies it's constitutional so they don't crash it.
-
@Dianathy @histoire (Granted you have to do that either way.)
-
@Zerglingman @Dianathy
>Glowies
>Caring if it's constitutional
Their entire existence goes counter to that
Waste of time, just have better opsec
-
@histoire @Dianathy Fair point. But how do you even do that?
Like it seems as if several groups with a hundred-odd members have already done that, despite all the finger-pointing going around.
But can you prove they've done it?
-
@Zerglingman @Dianathy
Not that I'm aware of
It's one of the best reasons to use isolated cells, decentralize the work and the problem. When you centralize, you are letting them have the ability to infiltrate and actually do damage, which they are very good at.
-
@histoire @Dianathy And then Facebook makes an instance.
Or, worse, journos (rest in piss lmao)
I agree that decentralisation is good in the sense of not letting them just tap the main nerve, but arguably even e2ee can do that much. And I for one will never argue in favour of using e2ee on a centralised service lmao, you're still using a centralised service that can just decide to ban you for encrypting your shit.
And like, poast has had numerous confirmed glowies and journos. I'd give good odds there's a non-retarded one out there whose job is to blend in by joining the dunks on the stooges.
I guess you just have to get 100 friends, go be Amish for a year, then come straight out to storm the place one day, no time for any potential glowbro in there to give warning.
-
@Zerglingman @Dianathy
Wait, I was talking about actual shit
Everyone knows at least a few people that definitely aren't feds
-
@histoire @Dianathy How definitely is definitely?
Chain of trust does sound like a great basis though.
I guess I just can't fully understand because you're all from fucking Narnia or some shit, I'm never gonna meet any of you IRL. Even if fedicon happens it's gonna be like $5k for me to attend.
