   If a user accidentally presses the CAPS lock while typing their password, would you notify them that it is on to help them save time?

     I disable CAPS lock on all my computers. It has no purpose in polite society.
     That aside, you can give them a visual cue that it's on when asking for secret input. Whether that is in a UI or terminal.

     @nixCraft Hello user, our keylogger noticed you typed your password all in capital letters, if you didn't mean to do this, you can turn off Caps Lock.
