     @p @selfisekai Mainline or gtfo for a real computer though, I have enough devices that are about as much computer as a TI calculator because you're stuck to vendor software.

     @selfisekai @lanodan ClockworkPi has been shipping RISC-V CPUs as an option in their devices. There are a few RISC-V systems shipping, chip manufacturers are starting to pick it up as an alternative to licensing ARM.      Sadly ARM are still a lot of glorified not-so-open-source / open-spec embedded-centric boards and RISC-V isn't yet something I could really bet on given the lack of decent hardware.

     @lanodan @selfisekai That is a bit obscene. They did call it the "Pioneer", though. I don't expect much polish on it. I barely expect the RISC-V board I ordered from CPi to work correctly when it (finally) arrives.

     @p @selfisekai Yeah, I'd just go with devboards for now, I guess those workstation boards are more for like OS developers wanting to make sure peripherals/drivers work, plus a build server that's not slow as balls.
