   @LordMordred This is why guys need to go through some form of deep strife or suffering. When you’ve set your thermometer to an abysmal level of living, everything NOT suffering seems like a total party!

   At a certain point you even enjoy simpy sitting in an empty cell to have time with your thoughts

     @Whitewall_Blasphemy @LordMordred That’s a start but I’m talking military service, peace corps, EMS type stuff where you see people die, live in extreme weather conditions for weeks on end, that kind of thing.

     Those guys who survive the trenches in ukraine will be able to enjoy even shitty poverty in the future, it’s hard to live worse than being wet for 2 months straight while living in a mud pit, crawling over your dead friend’s purple corpse

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @LordMordred Prolly explains why home made soups and breads were my go-to as a bachelor to save Dinero for clothes and shizz. I learned to get by with anything that fit the bill. I hate our current economy because it 😒 just digs in the more frugality you scratch out.

     @Whitewall_Blasphemy @LordMordred That gets you a lot of the way there. It’s that extreme of discomfort that makes up a lot of it. That gnawing, always-there-no-matter-what, can’t sleep it off level of hunger is a good one to experience once in your life.

     So is just nothing, if you ever have an extended period in solitary. Feels like you really have the time to acquaint yourself w/ your own soul
