> steam also has no thumbs down counter
its weird how the tech industry has responded to ratios by just.. deleting the counters so you can't see it.
they scream about "muh democracy" while doing everything they can to make sure you can't actually see democracy.

@icedquinn no downvotes is dangerous to our democracy
-
@cereal @icedquinn they already got rid of downvotes on youtube because thin-skinned people considered downvoting to be harassment.
-
@Moon @icedquinn weird, just recently there's been a wave of lawyering up against negative ratings on G Maps
-
@Moon @cereal @icedquinn naaah, that's the excuse, the manufactured consent, the real reason was corpos and propaganda getting publicly humiliated
-
@coolboymew @cereal @icedquinn I'm sure internally they still believe that botnets are voting down unpopular things that weirdo California techies think are great.
-
@Moon @cereal @icedquinn Google of all things should know what's a bot or not, 100% it's to support the corpo, propaganda and muh ads probably

@coolboymew @icedquinn @Moon @cereal Call of Duty removed the player counter post Ghosts for that reason. Players were pissed because they could no longer find playlists with people on them in AW. So BO3 had a compromise: instead you see a bullshit percentage of how many people are on some playlist, but not how many people are actually on said playlist.
Halo I think did too I know the MCC lacked it after the embarrassing drop of players on Halo 4 360.
