     The neighborhood wal-mart down the street from me closed down due to theft. It was in walking distance. When my car broke down, I had to walk over an hour to the Ali while I waited for it to be fixed.
     
     So yes, I fucking lost something and the community lost something because once that Wal-mart closed down, the burger place, the bar and even the fucking golf driving all closed down.
     
     Theft destroyed all the business on that street because the shop most able to leverage against theft, and drew in the most people, closed down.

     Why does food have a special category? The store owner still loses money. The food bank doesn't.
