   I don't like Phantasy Star 2

   The game has lost a lot of my grace with fucking red flashes with *every* bit of damage; but ok, there's a fan patch for that

   the problem is that other fucking white flashes still stay: every time you enter the battle, and every fucking step on damage tiles

   I think this is a second place in "actively wants to kill epileptics" list of games

   the dungeons and interface are painful; and the characters of characters are so far non-present, which is incredibly disappointing

     @matana PSII was slow and clunky for me. (spoiler alert, PSIII is even worse). PSIV was the smoothest and I don't remember that many flashes in that one outside of battle transitions and healing tiles.

     Both PSI and PSII have remakes for the Playstation 2. Only in Japan but there are fan translations out there. A lot of people hate them though because they look like Flash or RPG Maker games.

     @matana Actually I've checked and PSIV makes a white, screen-close transition for random encounters like here.

     @matana And PSIV is the best one. I'll keep this in mind when I create my Phantasy Star spiritual successor.
