     You would need some interface board, but you could put enough power into the cable to make it feasible.

     @coolboymew @m0th u could have a passive adapter to basically use an ethernet cable as a a sata cable. but to connect it to an IP network u need a full-fleged computer with a networking stack and server of whatever protocol u wanna use (SMB etc)
