I've discovered a "podcast" on callin.com, but I can't find an RSS feed. Is there a generic way to find a feed from a callin show?
There is a host rss.callin.com which has some feeds, but they're named in an opaque way, not with human-friendly names, so there's no discoverability with trivial URL manipulation.

Yes, it's cool in some sense that RSS lives on and is used under the hood, but if it's kept under the hood and no real humans know the URL it's almost as useless as "WhatsApp uses a modified XMPP under the hood".
So what? Still can't talk to WhatsApp people with Conversations, still can't talk to WhatsApp people from your account on your own domain, because they're not federating. They're not using a standard, they just saved themselves some protocol design effort.

What that means is, if a show supports RSS you can scroll down to "Links" and you can find the Apple Podcasts icon there and then continue your research from there.
This is the dark side of the "wherever you find your podcasts" discourse that was discussed the other week here on fedi.

Ok, it's opt-in by the show host, just like how soundcloud does it.

And in typical fashion they just talk about Apple Podcasts and Spotify syndication, not the actual feed hidden underneath. Blergh.
