I have a nest of honeybees that has taken up residence in my front porch ceiling. I'm going to try and see if I can relocate them in the spring but I think it's probably too late in the season for this year. -

If I can't work out how to relocate them safely on my own I may call in some help, but I've wanted my own hive for years and catching some natives would be better IMO than buying an Italian queen. I have been planning to start an apiary for a few years now.
I've never seen bumbles home. That was probably pretty awesome. -

Once I found a nest of a social species of bumblebees in my garden, and these made cells and some of them were filled with something that could have been nectar. I left them alone and in autumn they were gone.

The nest wasn’t too big, 20 bumblebees or so. It was just in the dry sand under a piece of wood.
