I'm coming from a mechanic stand point. The Active Fuel Management system (AFM) that General Motors uses causes severe piston scoring on the rear 2 cylinders, causing extreme blow by. You will need an engine before 100k, hope you have a warranty. FoMoCo burned me forever as an owner of the 6.0L diesel. Also the 5.4L V8 will have excessive wear in your timing chain tensioner causing valve slap. Your front covers coming off for that one, $8k without the warranty. Better hope your cam phasers fail simultaneously or they won't cover them under warranty. Same repair cost. Dodge I replaced a wheel hub and a water pump. May need some ball joints at 100k
