   Hard core vegans have two complaints about eggs.
   1. The egg could contain a fertilized little living bird (please don't ask about their support of human abortion, that complicates matters).
   2. The chicken didn't give consent.

     @neanderthalsnavel most store bought eggs are very unlikely to have any fertilization going on. Most of those birds live horrendous lonely lives in a little cage with artificial sunlight making sure they get the full 18 hours needed to crap out an egg. Farm raised/backyard eggs are often fertilized though.
