     Easy one.

     A release of OpenSUSE around 2008. It installed just fine, but due to some random bug it wrote data over the drive and corrupted *everything* during a mass photo import.

     There were a lot of no-no adult words that day.

     @itsfoss Not mine though. My collegau painfully experienced that rm removes files directly, without storing files in the trash bin.

     @itsfoss the day I discovered a crypto miner on my one of the production server, it got compromised through one of the installed webbased tools. Worst 24h ever!

     @itsfoss It was a regular weekday and I had a random problem with my system. Before doing any stupid thing, I tried to make a backup of my home and all user files.

     It went wrong. By accident I deleted all my personal files. But wait, there is a backup of my user files. I tried to recover from backup. It went horribly wrong. I deleted my backup by accident too. Through commandline.

     I sat there without any personal files anymore. It was an awkward moment. All photos, documents, music... gone.
