So I was asking some random foreigners just out of curiosity about what they find the most difficult thing about Japan.
One of them said that it's very hard to find basic bread, because there's a gazillion types of bread, but maybe 1 or 2 of them is plain bread (フランスパン), but only if you're lucky enough to get one during afternoons.
So I asked what he means by plain bread, and he said bread you can turn into a sandwich by yourself.
Because there's definitely no shortage in breads that have a filling like wiped cream, chocolate, melted cheese and onion, milk, anko, or something else, but almost never with nothing.
This one stands out, because most people answered things like "the language barrier" or "filing taxes" (which is theft) or "finding a job" or "finding a place to live", but the bread one came like a funny surprise.
