     @charliebrownau @Suiseiseki @nosleep The app store is a “pay what you want” setup much like the elementary ISO itself is, but seeing fucking Emacs labelled as “adult content/software” under a (presumably general) third-party application disclaimer pisses me off.

     It also ensures I stop recommending it as a beginner-friendly Linux distro.

     I typically recommend
     Debian with NON FREE with LIVE BOOT
     and I offer a install script to install and remove and customise the debian install

     I should really setup my own custom git thingy this year

     @charliebrownau @Suiglide @nosleep @Suiseiseki I hear some murmurings of Debian including nonfree firmware in the next install images because brainlets are too inept to pull the firmware files themselves. So maybe you wouldn’t need to explicitly recommend nonfree anymore?
