despite being a leg endurance work out day today, my right shoulder is in agony
i can't push or pull anything with my right arm
left arm is completely fine tho, wonder why
-
@ninja8tyu Don't force it and give your muscles time to heal or you risk permanent injury. Especially when you're out of shape and just starting out.
-
@ninja8tyu @hickory You could consider signing up for group workouts so the trainer can correct you and you can ask advice on the spot so he can demonstrate. Besides working in groups also helps with motivation.
It helped me allot when i signed up for boxing workouts.

@hickory gotta look up the names of the moves real quick...
alternating lat pulldown, decline chest fly, non-stop push-ups, rotational chop, standing face-pull, some tricep extension exercise idr the name to
today was just a fuckton of squats and quad torture, get easily exhausted, and i'm not sure if i'm ever doing the squat form right because every form makes me feel worse
-
@hickory i'm not sure what the difference is between physical pain and soreness
my body usually hurts a little during exercise, a little remaining pain for less than a minute or so (depending on how much i tortured myself that day, it could last for several minutes, but desu never that long)
then the next day, usually it's just painful to move or stretch the muscle, unless it's something like the biceps or some area of the body that's common
and now that you mention it, i often hover my right arm above my entire desk without letting it rest, since i have my tablet and plate of food on it that i don't want to rest my hand on, which probably strains it quite a bit

@ninja8tyu could be too much weight or poor form. Or you could just be geting over the newbie hurdle. What arm movements are you doing and with how much weight?
and yeah your arm is probably hurting because of that lol
-
@ninja8tyu you might be pulling more weight with your right arm unconsciously, or your right arm is just weaker
there's a difference between soreness and physical pain. The latter is not something you want from a workout. Check your form and rotate your excercises properly
