When people call things like movies a "tax writeoff" how does that work? I get that you can claim losses and not pay taxes on the project but how does that actively make them money? It clearly works to some degree because they keep doing it. -

@RustyCrab Movies as in making movies? idk, but with physical products (specifically computers) my understanding is that it doesn't actively make money so much as allow you to get stuff for free which you can then sell after a bit. -
