   @thor I think as you move through life some people fade out of your circles and new people are added. Maybe some of us become more particular about the people we let in. I have several friends with wildly different views of the world, priorities, definitions of success. I also know of people who have similar opinions to me who are insufferable.

     i would ignore his definition of success and focus more on what you think success is. but the answer will be the same, because if you have some kind of goal that you need to prioritise, and you need to have some kind of social circle, it makes sense that it'll largely be people who are working toward the same goal as you are.
