   Okay I finally have some time off after a month of ass-busting. What should my first anime watch-a-thon be when i get home?

   I would like to watch mushoku, but only 4 eps is a little tiresome, I like doing them straight shot through a season. I remember the story though, hopefully gonna see the school arc in its entirety.

   Never watched the megumin show….the fact I heard nothing means it isn’t promising.

   I can’t recall anything else really coming out as of late. Anything cute and lovey dovey? (those are my fave)

     A show about a jock and his childhood tomboy friend in high school and the jock slowly learns that the tomboy is a girl who loves him and not just a guy with large honkers.
     
     It aired in the winter season, so all the episodes are out now.

     @Paultron We haven’t watched anything this summer really. Been too busy w/ life outside. Different in the winter w/o chores around the home to do, we can keep the thermostat low and cuddle the day away in coziness.

     These days I just get back to trade work labor for manual labor

     @WashedOutGundamPilot megumin was fine if unremarkable. just a prequel and nothing beyond the bounds of whats been established in the franchise as of yet. i wouldn't move it up the list unless you're scraping for something in the last few seasons

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @SuperSnekFriend I found the he/she? character off-putting so I stopped reading the manga a not that soon after starting. Not to say it's bad, but there feels like a bit of a reddit tinge to it (it could have been the fan translation though).

     @WashedOutGundamPilot I am once again recommending Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu, I am no longer asking

     I was on the fence about the anime being a good adaptation a while back, and it exceeded my (admittedly low) expectations. If you get past the (intentionally) uncomfortable first episode or two, you unlock a really cute story about two adolescents falling in love and growing closer together in one of the most natural arcs I’ve seen, and I read a lot of room/romcom manga. One of my favoritest favorites. Plus, FMC is pretty cute.

     I also enjoyed Loving Yamada at Lvl 999 (really cute well animated shoujo), Eminence in Shadow (chuunibyou comedy where a guy wants to larp as a shadowy genius, but everything he pretends is actually true, lots of cute women), Stuck in a Dating Simulator (comedy about guy getting isekai’d into a ladies dating sim, romance/revenge on the world type story), and Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy (comedy isekai, OP MC gets cursed by reincarnation goddess because he’s not attractive enough, he builds an empire of monsters and a few monster girls; really well animated and an interesting story)

     @JedKron1248 That reminds me I need to catch up on moonlit. Was an interesting enough read in the LN. I liked eminence, but it vexed me that they didn’t give him the silly muscle freak physique from the manga. Given where the story goes, it makes a little more sense.

     Last chapter of moonlit I read had the chick isekai hero seeing the spider girl’s ‘true form’ realizing she was happily enslaved by some faceless villain….without realizing it was the ugly dude

     i really enjoyed MHA besides from bakugo who is a fucking faggot the anime has some good stuff about heroes without being preachy

     @rlier23 I have a weird relationship w/ MHA, because it has some really fun saturday morning cartoon moments. The first ep is spectacular, the kind of thing that fuels a young kid on to greatness and discipline for years.

     The mentor arc was cool too, interesting to see. But after S3 it really loses some of that…..gumption, I guess. I THINK we’ve watched it all (like all weebette zoomers she likes it, of course) but I can scarcely recall anything other than the one cool song that plays when he fights the russian milf

     Haibane Renmei, it's pretty old but you might have missed it and it's something I recommend to anyone whenever I get the chance. It's no sugary romance (though it is cute, in a downplayed sort of way), but it is incredibly tender and sincere; a most heartfelt story. It got to me in a way nothing else has and likely never will.

     One guy who was a riding Star losing his Powers to protect someone, a really good redemption arc for another guy

     @rlier23 Yeah, they kinda overdid it on the sentimentality, and they really won’t let the green haird kid grow up and actually become something other than a blubbering chump. At a certain point he has to learn not everybody deserves ‘saving’, and some bad guys are hopeless enough to merit killin’.

     Granted, it’s not that kinda show, so the demon one will have to take up that narrative burden

     @monsterislandcolonizer Haven’t watched that one together. Like everyone today, if it wasn’t on crunchyroll it doesn’t exist to her. I was just laughing at zoomers at work for not understanding how to torrent, they tried acting like their streaming services or better but it’s hard to argue that when I can download a full season in 10 minutes

     @WashedOutGundamPilot A note: you might not want to watch the OVA sequel to Nadesico, it has a very different tone to the main show, and the MC's love interest-now-wife is kidnapped for most of the show causing mc to go full edgelord so it is almost entirely a war/mecha fighting show compared to the main series.

     Tsundere Akuyaku Reijou Liselotte to Jikkyou no Endou-kun to Kaisetsu no Kobayashi-san is the most recent one I can think of, since I'm sure everyone's seen My Dress Up Darling or Tomo-chan :senko_think2:
     
     Kyoukai no Rinne was a cute anime from awhile back, with romantic undertones, but it was mainly comedy :shyduck:
     
     Ao Haru Ride, you've probably already seen, but it's one of my favorite romantic shojo animus. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is another, and Silver Spoon—though the latter is mainly a farming slice of life.
