     @ThatWouldBeTelling @Moon yeah, brother is probably the least evil one I'm aware of. It's hidden, but it outright have a function to allow 3rd party carts, at least, the one we have at work

     @coolboymew @Moon My parents really liked their ink Brother printers (actually, one or both were “all in one” functionality monsters), but both eventually followed my long standing advice to get laser printers.

     I just replaced a decade and a half year old duplexing one because the drum started to fail, and by now getting a replacement was prohibitively expensive compared to a new printer for the small volumes I print.
