@LinuxJedi@mntmn Speaking of... I think I still have a PicassoII in repair at the guy that releases Picasso96 (a friend back then when I had many contacts at VillageTronic and he and Klaus came for some BBQs over). For years now! ;)
Anyway, I do have enough replacement cards that are faster, though... :)
@ij@mntmn money and availability. Of all the ones you listed I could only get hold of CyberVision 64, and there was a lot of risk in buying that due to the seller. Picasso II+ is all I could get hold of (note that the II+ is much better than the original II). I also didn't fancy building the SD64 clone.
@LinuxJedi Why a PicassoII graphic card? I do have one or two of them myself, but when I would buy a graphic card today, I would either go with a PicassoIV or CyberVision 64 for old cards or with ZZ9000 by @mntmn for a brand new card.
Was the PicassoII the best option in regards of price and availability or was there another reason?
@mntmn@ij unfortunately timescales to get this finished to move on to the next machine were too tight for that. Maybe one day. I have two A4000s coming up to restore, I might consider it for one of them.
