   Hope is truly god's gift to mankind. God enjoys human suffering above all else, but he knew if humans suffered eternally, they'd all just kill themselves and he'd never be able to enjoy their suffering past the first few generations. So he invented hope to give humans a reason not to kill themselves, so he'd be able to enjoy their suffering for longer. And the best part is, hope convinces them that eventually their suffering will end - that someday, when they die, they will be rewarded with eternal life in paradise for holding out through all of this suffering. Little do they know they'll just be reincarnated into the cycle once again, so they can live a new life for 70 or 80 or however many years, suffering and hoping for a better afterlife once again. Then they die again and start anew. That's god's only plan for humanity.
