   “What’s in it for me?

   and demand something material.

   Good job? Not guaranteed. Good wife? Far from guaranteed. Good life? A fantasy in Theologia Americana.

   Then I point out the messaging that the women & browns get:

   Show up, and get what you deserve

   Not super successful, but you lay the seed and water it. Ask “hey, if I were a hard worker living in my car right now, how would I climb out of that hole?”

   No one will take a chance on that guy like they used to.
