It is commonly said that "Sex Is Sacred" in a Catholic context, but almost always with respect to what you're not allowed to do, as opposed to what you can do to remind youself of the sacred, sacramental, and transcendent nature of the act in a positive manner. How can you make a "ritual" of the experience to properly align your body, mind, and soul with your partner? One idea is through an imitation of the seven sacraments. Such a rite may be useful for special occasions, such as anniversaries or any time you can be alone with your spouse. For best results receiving God's blessing, you should be in a state of grace free of mortal sin, as well as adhering to all the basic Catholic rules like it only being in a valid marriage between man and woman, no artificial contraception, etc.
Step 1: Baptism
The first step is for you and your partner to bathe, physically cleansing yourselves in preparation.
Step 2: Confession
Next you and your partner should clear up any grievances between you, forgiving one another for anything you may have done to cleanse yourself of any spiritual obstruction to total self-giving.
Step 3: Communion
A romantic meal between just the two of you, either at home or eating out, is a good way to spend time with each other.
Step 4: Confirmation
You return to the marital bedroom. You may either burn incense or light scented candles. The bed should be made with freshly changed linens. Before the altar of your love, you pledge yourselves fully to each other before God, sealed with a kiss.
Step 5: Anointing
Massage each other with scented oils in preparation for the marital act.
Step 6: Holy Orders
Give thanks to God for each other. You may say a short prayer, read from the Song of Songs in the Bible, read some other appropriate love poetry celebrating the diving and transcendent nature of human love, or play appropriate music.
Step 7: Holy Matrimony
We all know what goes here.

@ArdainianRight I only have essential oils for dandruff, what do I buy?
-
@0vtcast Whatever scent brings your mind to the divine and transcendent, in the way incense or holy chrism might.
