   I got some soap with the only ingredients being lye and tallow/lard
   
   Mainly I just wanted to try it before I commit to and buying the stuff to start making my own soap.

     @sjw I don't know if I like that representation. on the one hand it's nice to have transparency about what went into making something. but on the other they're inputs to a chemical reaction that get consumed. so in reality the ingredients are a complex mixture of organics

     Ever wonder why so many food product labels say "no MSG added" instead of "no MSG"? It's because there is MSG in it. MSG happens when your cook food. That's why sauteed vegetables or seared steak tastes better and more savory than boiled vegetables or a boiled steak. It's fucking MSG! However, Karens hate MSG and fake a fuck tonne of symptoms if they suspect they're eating MSG (maybe only 5% of the time they're actually eating MSG) because Asians were the first to isolate MSG and give the flavour it produced a name. They feel threatened by Asian women because they tend to be the definition of a trad wife and are subservient to their husbands (as God intended) so they fake having reactions to MSG and even fake their kids having reactions to MSG to try and keep people from visiting places that may have Asian women there making men realise just how much greener the grass is on the other side leaving them girl bossed and childless because they don't need no man.
     
     I'm well aware of the chemical reactions that take place. I only care about what went into the product.
