     Medical science, like most modern science, isn't nearly as advanced as everyone thinks it is. Doctors are the worst in this regard, they'll prescribe you medicine that they have no idea what it actually does because it worked once in a controlled environment fifty years ago.

     Had a friend who broke his leg and there was a bone shard like an inch from his femoral artery. They told him his leg wasn't broken. "X-ray it again." Scoffing. "Do it." "Your leg isn't broken." "Yes, it is." "No it isn't." "Do it again."
     
     Did it again.
