     @bleedingphoenix I saw that as well. Was going to remark on it but didn’t have anything to say beyond I hope this doesn’t make Steam even more unpalatable via its cancerous fanbase.

     @bleedingphoenix This is why I’m so suspicious of so many modern games and anime. I have to wonder if studios just aren’t making characters they know are going to be pornified so as to artificially increase the popularity of franchises via others’ pornographic output. It’s honestly such a shame.

     I find it hard to believe that people like so many over-designed characters solely because of their personalities. I think porn has much to do with it, whether or not people have the honesty to admit such a thing.

     @Owl @bleedingphoenix Anime absolutely does this, as well as japanese games.
     Western games have been a mixed bag for a while, but Overwatch was right on the edge of the point of no return where "sexy" was no longer acceptable. If it had come out just a year or two later than it did, the entire female cast would have been redesigned.

     Anime absolutely does this, as well as japanese games.

     I hate that, because it makes a lot of media feel so inorganic, like a group of guys are sitting around a table going, “Okay, what fetishes are the zoomers into? What kind of revealing designs do they like? What sort of ‘personality’ should she have, should she be a ‘dommy mommy’ or should she be a ‘totally tsundere goth gf’?”

     It feels like so many characters are made to appeal to porn sick weirdos on Twitter and other social media sites instead of actually just being good characters. It makes them unlikable, like you can just tell right off the bat that someone was sitting there with a checklist of things coomers like and are ticking off boxes as they go.
