     Wikipedia makes no mention of this and claims it was all some Norwegian DJ, but I'm convinced it was this
     
     Timeline matches up. Late-2000's the movies come out and these pitch/tempo shifted songs take off, around 2010 the same content takes off just under the new name "nightcore"
