   There's something very evil about political elections. Consider that your typical politician is a scumbag. All of them. And then how heated up people get trying to get their guy elected even if they have to suppress their burning awareness of his trashiness.
   
   This is a moral hazard.
   
   This is knowingly devoting your deepest self to something you know to be evil. But just the lesser of two evils. I think people get buck broken by this process.
   
   I think they stop being able to distinguish right from wrong and begin to actively seek the lesser of two evils in all outcomes.

     @Zerglingman There's no way to align yourself to the good when you're given a curated choice of initiateds and sacred cows of a ruling party.
     
     This doesn't even mention the fact that the sort of people whose voices get heard are those that have the free time to politically agitate as their desired vocation.
     
     Good people just doing their jobs and tending to their families get zero representation. Any Dionysios of Syracuse is a better outcome than this.
