     Obviously the Xeno- series is broadly liberal in the sense of wanting everyone to try to understand and get along with each other. But it's not leftist in the crazy troon sense. Melia and Morag in particular are very conservative in terms of their background and lifestyle, and a lot of the best interactions come from different kinds of people learning to get along. The truth is that even schizo internet racists are closer to doing what the series promotes than trannies are. Trannies fall so far into solipsism as to be incapable of anything but totalitarianism.

     @ArdainianRight Xenoblade 2 and Future Redeemed in particular hew pretty closely to the Christian understanding mankind's Fallen nature, with history repeating and humans creating a hell of their own making, and the Architect even alluding to the fact that his Original Sin doomed his future endeavors to failure. In the end, it's Man and the Divine coming together that redeems humanity and offers it a second chance.
     
     Xenoblade 3's world can also be understood as a kind of hell that mankind placed itself in, if I understand Z correctly.
     
     Of course, despite XB2 and FR in particular displaying a critical attitude towards humanity, they also display great affection and empathy for their characters, value life, and still hold out hope for a better tomorrow. The sentiment actually seems quite close to authentic Christian Humanism.

     @ArdainianRight liberalism does not have a monopoly on positive international or even interracial relations, pretending that it does gives it way too much credit. People from illiberal societies throughout history have had good working relationships with outsiders under healthily negotiated conditions. I don’t see an outsized liberal influence on the themes put forth in Xenoblade 1 or 2, 1 is way more focused on the spiritual, and 2 has a lot of solid illiberal pro social politics. X and 3 are very liberal, though.

     @jimmybuffettfanaccount 3 is mostly against neoliberal consoomerism and Boomer conservatism and I feel it's pretty compatible with a Dissident Right worldview. X is definitely very liberal.

     @ArdainianRight Why does a nigger think he can cosplay as Reyn? Reyn might not be as smart as Shulk or Dunban, but he can still be quite insightful, and the only Reyn moment that's close to nigger-tier was ButtonGate. Reyn doesn't deserve this.
     
     Lanz is more of a nigger than Reyn, given how Lanz used to be something of a thug when he was younger (he was gonna beat up Joran for losing them that training match if Noah hadn't stopped him), and even as an adult he'll punch out both children and old people in various sidequests.

     @ArdainianRight @jimmybuffettfanaccount 3 was hit by Global Standards in terms of presentation, but in terms of content I consider it significantly more Based than 1. Note that in 3, even the most empathetic and pacifistic character has no problem recognizing that not only do some people need killing, but also that some people don't deserve forgiving. Just compare Noah VS Consuls OP to Shulk's final confrontation with Metal Face.

     The only character I can think of that comes from a traditional family is the girl that goes crazy and betrays the city, and the explicit reason given in her side quest is because her family had expectations on her to uphold a longstanding family tradition instead of letting her be a free spirit artist. It’s a completely Authoritarian Personality inspired liberal anti family storyline.

     @jimmybuffettfanaccount @ChristiJunior Presenting protagonists in a JRPG as having children or families at all instead of just being orphaned teenagers is a big step in the right direction. Future Redeemed in particular shows Shulk and Rex trying to deal with being parents, and just depicting that side sympathetically as opposed to parents just being mean or clueless tyrants is uncommon in modern media.

     I think even people who disliked Xenoblade 3 would like Future Redeemed, it brings back lots of great elements from Xenoblade 1 and 2, including story themes, and dramatically dials back the nonwhite representation.

     @jimmybuffettfanaccount @ChristiJunior Maybe it shouldn't be that uncommon to portray older heroes as parents who are loving and reasonable and having valuable wisdom to pass on as opposed to being stupid, out-of-touch, bitter, and broken, but in modern media it sadly is. It's not perfect, but anything that comes off as vaguely human and uplifting is gonna fare well in terms of resonance.

     @ArdainianRight I really personally can’t get past just how pozzed virtually everything about the city is, but there are some interesting things in the colonies stories I can grant you that. Overall way way too liberal and pro globohomo values for my taste, maybe even especially aesthetically, but particularly as a follow up to 2, the fact that the world that my favorite characters from 2 created was a fucked up failure that needed 90’s liberalism to come save it is pretty deeply insulting to me, but I’m glad you can interpret some value out of it for yourself.

     @ArdainianRight Idk man the bad guys are evil authoritarians who keep the races artificially separated in fake societies and fighting against each other and the good guys in the “authentic” and heroic society of the city are all race mixers, mulatto girl bosses and are run by coalburner feminists. That is 100% how liberals see the world and themselves. There’s some amusing similarities between the bad guys and trannies if you have our worldview that you can enjoy (but this in itself is a result of transgenderism, despite being the ultimate product of liberalism, is in a lot of ways a totalitarian authoritarian illiberal ideology, just a very evil one).
     
     I understand the desire to interpret 3 as based, the bad guys are totalitarians who control the entire world with an anti-human system who are destroying all life and the good guys are trying to be organic real human beings in the face of that all powerful evil; liberalism in real life is a totalitarian ideology that controls most of the world with an anti human system that is destroying all life and we are trying to be organic real human beings in the face of that evil. But it’s critical to remember that this is also how liberals see themselves, that illiberals and other assorted right wingers artificially keep people separated and their mulatto futurism will bring humanity to a utopian natural healthy world. And with so, so many character arcs and story details aligning with the pro liberal self interpretation I think it’s pretty obvious that 3 is a deliberately pro liberal game. To say otherwise is like trying to make the case that original Star Wars is a pro nazi film because the rebels are, like the Nazis, brave and heroic good guys fighting against a much more numerous and materially powerful empire, just like the Germans fighting against the world empires of their day. Yeah, in some ways that actually checks out with the facts of history, but it’s imminently obvious that Star Wars is intended to be boomer liberal idea of ww2 with the rebels as the plucky underdog Allies against the evil nazi empire. Pretending the opposite of the obvious intended interpretation makes you look silly.

The liberated colonies embrace local self-government and a return to farming the land, which were popular in 1960s leftism but nowadays are more associated with the right. And the modern left is far more supportive of corporatist globalism. And pro-family and pro-natalist messaging was never really leftist and nowadays is very much anti-leftist. Natural humanity versus sterile tyranny is the real message, and regardless of the author's intent there's a lot of value in that from a right-wing perspective.

     @ArdainianRight @jimmybuffettfanaccount Given the way Origin works, there's a good chance that the people and colonies we see in 3 aren't fully representative of the actual post-ending Xenoblade 1 and 2 worlds. I don't wanna go into deeper Spoiler territory, and I still don't think I fully understand the deal with Origin, but from what I *do* understand, it should be entirely possible for Z to pick and choose which people he revives and lets live in Aionios, while the souls of all the ones he don't want (because they're potentially dangerous) just keep slumbering in Origin. If accurate, the hilarious implication of Aionios having so many more dark-skinned characters than previous worlds would be that darkies make for more obedient slaves and cannon-fodder.
