     @mushroom_soup I’ve always loved how we can thermoregulate the baby too, something we stupidly prevent with all those clothes. It’s nice that “skin to skin” is at least a thing now.

     it just always struck me as so un-empathetic for your baby, too. It’s been living in warmth and moisture all its life, until it’s out in the air and all it can sense now is the distant pressure of your arms through 3 inches of fabric. Very impersonal and solitary, probably feels terrifying
