Well you do use stuff in sewing and God knows if pattern making people knew math it would be way easier to understand. These books are very confusing because the writer can't know basic math like using proper just using names and letters. They can tell you "yeah AB is made by using your waist value " and right after they could tell you "this value is 17cm" while they actually meant AB but they use out of nowhere some mean size value.
Also trigonometry is very useful.
In general I'd say people in sewing don't know shit about just high school math and it's very confusing when you have a little math background :anakin_je_te_hais:
