People who would normally form a breeding pair and have a family and die surrounded by great-grandchildren are instead molested and told: ha, now you've got this sexual identity and you've got to go to these bars and have these sexual partners and then die of drug abuse and disease in your 40s.
So, it's not at all weird that they'd have puritan views about video games, which compete with them for the attention of the next generation.

@RealRaul There were also the semi-recent Atelier Ryza games that succeeded and made the same people who cried about this angry about. Never played them but it's funny they did well enough for 2 sequels and the developers even trolled the crying Games Journos™ by saying they didn't know people found the character sexy.
