     @Owl Being masculine is fascist, if you are a man who appears manly people might assume you are some kind of right winger, and you’d hate to have that happen.
     
     For women I think it’s more complicated. There’s somewhat the same phenomenon at play as with men, where being feminine could be seen as reactionary (“trad wife”) but then you also have the leftover socialization from feminism that’s encouraged some women to try and present themselves as masculinely as possible, but what I think is the main thing going on is that aesthetic femininity in the public sphere has been ceded to drag queens and trannies, and no matter how much women nominally support lgbtp no girl ever wants to be mistaken for a trans “woman”, and the best way to do that is to make sure you don’t look like you’re trying to be girly.

     Contradictory, although true.

     If women refuse to present as “girly,” then the only other option is for them to look like broccoli-haired amorphous dykes, e.g. the “comedienne” in question. Femininity must be reclaimed from the gnarled, bony clutches of the trannoid.
