     A while back a fren told me his was always breaking down, he noticed he had german hardware w/ italian (ducati, no less) electronics and he had at least one failure a year. I laughed at him for buying something like that.

     Cracked mine open after realizing the 10,000 gallon tank had run dry…. my well pump uses italian electronics, and german hardware, too.

     What a lovely, beautiful combination

     @ferrarilegends Depends on the age and who put things together. Lots of cut corners for recent builds, from what I see. Everyone I know who’s done their own place in the last 10 years has a lot lower quality. Most of the shit that gives me problems is the first replacement of stuff that was installed 30-50 years prior.

     Modern crap is really taking a quality nosedive.

     @Eiswald Every fix is expensive too. TO the point where I don’t think you can really have one without keeping $5,000 to $10,000 on hand for a day-of repair

     @Paultron Been out in the sun pulling pipe all day, 105 here and 50% humidity… very tiresome.

     I like fun projects, not “toilets won’t flush until you get this system up and running” projects
